Thinking about a service contract but not sure if it’s worth the commitment
Thinking about a service contract but not sure if it’s worth the commitment
I’ve been going back and forth on this for weeks and I figure I should just ask people who’ve actually done it. I have a 2017 330i that I drive about 30k km a year between work and family stuff, so I’m at the workshop constantly and every visit feels like a random bill. A guy at my office mentioned he signed up for a service contract and said it made his costs predictable, but I’m skeptical because I’ve heard mixed things about these packages. Some people say they’re great value if you drive a lot, others say you’re just prepaying for maintenance you might not even need. I’m not sure which camp is right. Has anyone here actually signed one of these for a high mileage car? Did it end up saving you money over the year or did you feel like you were locked into something that didn’t cover the important stuff? I saw a page where you can click here to view genuine BMW service contract options and it looked legit but I’d rather hear from real people before I commit to anything.
