I’m not sure if I’m overreacting or if this is genuinely something to worry about, but the steering on my Infiniti has changed and it’s making me nervous every time I drive. It’s a 2016 QX60 and for the past couple of weeks the wheel has felt heavier than normal, especially when I’m manoeuvring in car parks or turning at low speed. There’s also this groaning sound that appears when I turn, and a couple of days ago I noticed a small patch of fluid on the ground where I usually park, which I’m hoping is just condensation but deep down I know it’s probably not. The car has done about 125,000 kilometres and I’ve never had any steering work done, so I suppose something was bound to give eventually, but the timing is terrible because I’ve got a long drive coming up and I don’t want to be stranded halfway there. What I need is to find someone who can do fast Infiniti steering repair in Abu Dhabi and actually understands these cars, because I’ve been fobbed off before by places that just topped up a fluid and charged me for the privilege without fixing anything. Has anyone dealt with something similar on their Infiniti and can point me towards someone reliable, or at least tell me what questions I should be asking so I don’t get taken for a ride? I’d really appreciate any advice because I’m not confident about driving it far in this state.
