Navigator riding rough – need proper shocks, not cheap imitations
So my 2019 Navigator has been feeling increasingly floaty and unsettled over the past couple of months, especially on that stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road near the Trade Center where the pavement has those weird undulations, and honestly it’s starting to make long drives genuinely uncomfortable for the whole family. I took it to a local garage that claimed they could handle it, and they slapped on some aftermarket shocks that were supposedly compatible, but the ride quality actually got worse if you can believe it, more bouncy and harsh at the same time which I didn’t even think was possible. Now I’m stuck with a car that feels nothing like the smooth cruiser it used to be, and I’ve learned my lesson about cutting corners with these adaptive suspension systems that need proper calibration and genuine parts to work the way Lincoln intended. I’ve been doing some reading and it seems like there’s a big difference between standard shocks and the ones designed specifically for the Navigator’s weight and damping characteristics, so I’m determined to get it right this time even if it costs a bit more upfront. Has anyone here actually gone through the process of replacing their Navigator’s shocks with OEM-spec parts and noticed a real improvement? I’m particularly interested in finding a place that understands the electronic side of things too, not just bolting on parts, because from what I gather, genuine Lincoln shock absorber replacement Dubai is something you really need to be careful about since the wrong components can throw off the whole ride control system and leave you worse off than when you started.
